My Dearest Jonah

In the form of letters between pen-pals, Matthew Crow presents us with Verity, a stripper, and Jonah, a reformed murderer, who express their hopes and dreams to one another without ever having met. The letters track the changes in their lives, with Jonah finding it increasingly difficult to escape his past, despite his attempts to settle down peacefully. Verity, in turn, attempts to explain to Jonah what led her life to unravel so spectacularly. And when sinister events shatter the pieces of normality that each has struggled to put together, their continuing correspondence becomes the sole strand of stability in two increasingly desperate lives...
