We started out as the retail home of Ulverscroft Ltd.’s excellent range of large print and audiobooks. Ulverscroft began in 1964, inventing the concept of large print so that even more people can enjoy a good book – regardless of their level of vision.
The Reading House is now a joint venture between Ulverscroft and Firsty Group. We’re pleased to offer a wide selection of hardback and paperback large print titles as well as audiobooks in CD and MP3 CD formats. We’re only getting bigger, proud to offer audiobook downloads alongside other formats – and we won’t stop there.
