The Reading House strives to tell stories in multiple formats, so you have the pleasure to choose what works for you. Large print, if you need your stories in bright, bold letters. Audiobooks, if you want to sit back and let stories wash over you. So, here’s what’s on offer.
Large Print Paperback – with large print, you can see differently. The size of a font is usually described in point size. Typically, regular print books are 10-12 point size. Large print books are 16-18 point size.
Large Print Hardback – as with the large print paperback, the large print hardbacks are printed in 16-18 point size. They come with a hard cover, so they can weather all the reading joy you take them through.
It used to be that large print books were only available from libraries, courtesy of Ulverscroft. Now, we’re part of an expansion of the format, across retail – as we enable you to buy large print from our site. We supply books from an array of publishers in large print including Ulverscroft, Abe Books, Aurora, and more.
Audiobook CD (MP3) – this is an unabridged audiobook CD. Just insert the disc into your CD (MP3) compatible player, press play, and start listening.
What is an MP3? The MP3 file is the audio file which has been compressed to a smaller size. As such it can only be played on MP3 compatible CD, DVD and MP3 players, iPods, mobile phones, PCs and Apple Macs. All compatible MP3 players are clearly marked with MP3 CD.

Audiobook CD – this is an unabridged audiobook CD. Just insert the disc into your CD player, press play, and start listening.
Audiobook Download – we offer downloadable audiobooks as well. Once you’ve bought your downloadable audiobook, you can listen to it on the Glassboxx app – available on iOS and Android devices. Simply login to the app using the email address you used to purchase your audiobook with us. You’ll be sent a verification code, which you can use to login. Your audiobook will be there in the app, ready when you are. Please see our eBook and audiobook help page for more information.
