Bernadette Strachan was born in Fulham, London into an Irish Catholic family. Before becoming an author she ran a wool shop, produced radio commercials, and was a voiceover agent representing a host of household names. She is currently at work on her sixth novel, and a second stage musical with her husband, Matthew. They have one daughter, Niamh. Bernadette never eats carbs during the week.
